Richard Clifford

Richard Clifford is an experienced public affairs and government relations professional. As Senior Government Relations and Policy Manager at Maximus UK, he leads engagement with political stakeholders and develops thought leadership content and policy work for the organisation. He has worked for several Labour MPs, including in the Shadow Business team during their time in opposition, and was Public Affairs Manager at UKHospitality during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he led parliamentary engagement for the organisation. Richard has also worked as a sustainability and ESG consultant working with a range of brands and private equity clients to help communicate their sustainability practices externally. He holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Durham University.
