Maria Shum

Maria is a senior corporate communications professional with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector. Her expertise spans leadership communications, employee engagement, change communications and media relations. She works closely with senior leaders to deliver strategic communications that support business priorities, strengthen organisational culture and drive colleague engagement.

Before joining Brown Shipley, Maria led internal communications at Coutts, having previously worked within its media relations team. She began her career in public relations agencies, including FTI Consulting and Headland, advising clients across a range of media relations and reputation management initiatives.
